The Maintenance Engineer will provide maintenance, electric, and hydraulic engineering services, troubleshooting and support. Overall, your duties often include designing, testing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical systems and equipment across the facility. This position will require proficiency in technology, to understand, analyze and troubleshoot problems, design and deliver solutions. This position is responsible for operating, repairing and maintaining stationary equipment.

Responsibilities include: 

Oversee and support the maintenance, electric, and hydraulic work teams.

• Prepare work schedules for plant maintenance teams on outage and projects.
• Ensures that the facility’s equipment and machines are maintained properly and working correctly.
• Involved the facility’s project program; identifies and analyzes equipment or machinery failures and takes corrective actions when directed.
• Experience in AutoCAD/SolidWorks is a plus.
• Provides technical training to team members.
• Help coordinates work performed by outside contractors, vendors, and engineering consultants.
• Support Maintenance and plant activities during off hours as needed.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills: 

• Thorough understanding of mechanical engineering.
• Understanding of electrical and hydraulic concepts.
• Be able to create and modify existing prints in AutoCAD/SolidWorks
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education Required: 

• 4 year- Degree in Engineering or technical fields required.
• Five years OR more of experience in the steel industry preferred.
• AutoCAD/SolidWorks experience.

Physical Requirements: 

• Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the production facility.
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Prolonged periods of standing while working on projects on the production floor.
• Must be able to lift 40 pounds at a time.
